Basil Gimlet

A refreshing twist on the classic gimlet, showcasing the aromatic flavor of fresh basil.

    Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.75 oz simple syrup
  • 6-8 fresh basil leaves
  • Ice
  • Basil sprig for garnish

    Preparation

  1. In a shaker, muddle the fresh basil leaves with lime juice and simple syrup to release the basil's flavor.
  2. Add gin and fill the shaker with ice.
  3. Shake well until chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe or martini glass.
  5. Garnish with a sprig of basil.
