Classic Champagne Cocktail

The origin of this recipe is shrouded in mystery .

    Ingredients

  • 2/3 oz cognac
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 sugar cube
  • Champagne
  • orange slice and a maraschino cherry

    Preparation

  1. Place the sugar cube in a Champagne flute and soak with the Angostura .
  2. Add the Cognac and top up the glass with Champagne .
  3. Garnish with a slice of orange and a red maraschino cherry .
