
General Harrison’s Egg Nog
This classic recipe comes from the 1862 edition of Jerry Thomas’ Bartender’s Guide .
- 1/2 oz bourbon
- 4 oz apple cider
- 2 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 egg
- ground cinnamon
Ingredients
- Place all the ingredients except the cider in a shaker filled with ice and shake to emulsify the egg .
- Strain into a tankard or large goblet
- top up with the cider
- and stir well .
- Garnish with a pinch of ground cinnamon .
