
Madison Avenue Manhattans
A classic cocktail, this version is made with spicy rye whiskey, perfect for a retro-themed party.
- rye whiskey
- sweet vermouth
- water
- Angostura bitters
- Brandied Cherries (optional)
Ingredients
- Combine whiskey
- vermouth
- water
- and bitters in a pitcher and stir well.
- Decant into a liquor bottle and refrigerate for at least 2 hours
- until chilled.
- Set out a bowl or wine bucket filled with ice.
- Shake the bottle well
- then set it in the ice so it stays chilled and pour into coupe glasses.
- Garnish each drink with a cherry
- if desired.
