
The wizard’s brew
A drink for witches and wizards with butterscotch, heavy cream, and cream soda.
Inspired by: Harry Potter
- 8 oz. Brown sugar
- light
- 1 oz. Water
- 3 oz. Butter
- ½ tsp. Salt
- ½ tsp. apple cider Vinegar
- 6 oz. Heavy cream
- ½ tsp. rum extract
- 48 oz. Cream soda
Ingredients
- Place a pan over medium heat. Add water and sugar and bring to a gentle boil. Cook until a candy thermometer reads 240F.
- Add vinegar
- ¼ of the heavy cream
- butter and salt. Stir to combine. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Once cooled
- add the rum extract and stir. In a bowl add the sugar mixture and the rest of the heavy cream. Beat with an electric mixer for 3 minutes until thickened.
- Divide the sugar mixture into 4 glasses. Add 2 oz of cream soda. Stir and top each glass with whipped cream. Serve.
