Virgin Sazerac

A non-alcoholic twist on the classic Sazerac cocktail, featuring herbal tea and anise flavors.

    Ingredients

  • 3 oz of absinthe or anise-flavored liqueur
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 3 dashes of Peychaud's bitters
  • 3 oz of cold brewed herbal tea
  • lemon twist for garnish

    Preparation

  1. Rinse a chilled glass with absinthe or anise-flavored liqueur and discard the excess.
  2. In a separate mixing glass, muddle the sugar cube and Peychaud's bitters until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add the cold brewed herbal tea to the mixing glass, and fill it with ice.
  4. Stir well until chilled.
  5. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass.
  6. Garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
