
Irish Coffee
A warm cocktail that is often topped with a layer of cream .
- 1 ounce Irish whiskey
- 4 to 5 ounces hot coffee
- 1 ounce heavy cream
- Freshly grated nutmeg
- for garnish
Ingredients
- In a small mug
- combine the whiskey and hot coffee
- and stir to combine.
- In a mixing cup
- whip the heavy cream using a small whisk or milk frother until it thickens slightly and is pourable.
- Slowly pour the cream over the back of a spoon onto the coffee to allow it to layer on top.
- Grate some nutmeg over the cream.
