A New Orleans classic cocktail with a captivating blend of flavors.
Inspired by: Mardi Gras
- 2 oz rye whiskey
- 1 sugar cube
- 2 dashes Peychaud's bitters
- Absinthe
- lemon peel for garnish
Ingredients
- Rinse a chilled glass with absinthe and discard the excess.
- In a separate glass, muddle sugar and bitters.
- Add rye whiskey and stir well.
- Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with a lemon peel.
